The unit works incredibly well. Brian recommends a 180F t’stat, and I selected a 187F control point for my application. When the a/c is turned on, the fans come on at 50% level. Because the current is varied, there is no start up current spike – which is very hard on motors and alternators alike. The car is operating in between 185F and 190F and you can’t tell the fans are even working. Because they only draw enough current to keep the car at the set point, you don’t hear the noise of them cycling on and off. And the charging system doesn’t have to deal with, in my case, 35A of continuous draw when they’re on, and a 75A current spike for a half second or so during fan start up.

If you’re looking for the most elegant and efficient way to control you electric cooling fans, look no further. Delta Current Control blows the rest of the control systems I’ve seen out of the water.
